Zone Conferences

We began our zone conferences in Manzanillo.

What a great day we had together.  What diligent missionaries we have serving
here in Manzanillo at this time.
Our theme for our zone conferences followed our focus during Mission Council-
The Role of the Book of Mormon in Conversion.

President Clayton teaching.

What is it about the Book of Mormon that makes it
so important and vital in the conversion process?

1. Doctrine and Covenants 17:6
The Book of Mormon is true -
God Himself has declared it to be so.
2. Doctrine and Covenants 19:26
It contains His words
3. Doctrine and Covenants 20:8
It was translated by Power from on High
4. Doctrine and Covenants 20:9
It contains the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
5. Doctrine and Covenants 20:14
Those who receive it in Faith shall receive Eternal Life

***The translation of the Book of Mormon was the
first order of business in the Restoration of the
gospel in these latter days.

Doctrine and Covenants 20:15
Those who reject it, it shall turn to their own

***Discussion Points***

The Book of Mormon
*It is our witness of Jesus Christ.
*It was written for our day.
*We draw nearer to God than by any other way.

Faith empowers us to act on Gods will-
What is His will?
Are we using the Book of Mormon effectively?

Sister Training Leaders
Sister Osumi and Sister Dominguez
sharing their testimonies.

President Clayton's Preach My Gospel scripture game.

Can we find answers to gospel questions in
the scriptures we teach and bear testimony of
every single day, readily, effectively
and solidly in the Book of Mormon?
Let's see!

fantastic missionaries!

President began with his teaching

I was next.
*We are teachers of Holy things
*There are many promises associated with this Book of Books
*There is Power in the Book of Mormon
*It is a pattern for our day
The Book of Mormon will be the most important book
you will read in preparation for a mission and for life”
Ezra Taft Benson
What do those voices from the dust really say
that are so important to us today?
1.  2 Nephi 1:14 Lehi’s parting words to his sons
-Awake, arise from the dust and hear [me].
-Remember my words
-Awake my sons and put on the armor of righteousness
-Arise from the dust and be men (vs 21)

***Story of our young kids calling Lemuel - lemonhead***

-You can tell Lehi wanted to shake some sense into his oldest sons.
***Example: Laman and Lemuel seeing their father a far distance
from the tree of Life- and turning away.

2.  2 Nephi 33:13 Nephi’s words to us
-I speak unto you as the voice of one crying from the dust.

3.  Alma 29:1-2 Alma’s desires to cry repentance to all
-Oh that I were an angel, and could cry repentance unto every people
4. Mormon 9:31 Moroni’s final words
-That ye may learn to be more wise that we have been.

I passed pictures of prophet/ leaders long gone, and whose
mortal remains have turned to dust, around the circle.
We passed the pictures round and round and had missionaries
tell what prophet/leader from long ago spoke to them and why.

Sister Training Leaders
Sister Ramirez and Sister Turitich
shared a few experiences
and their testimonies with us.

ok... we had delicious chili rellenos for lunch.

No matter how much time we have on the mission,
or where we are serving, we can and must seek to enlarge
our capacity to do more, and to be more.
#We can do hard things.

 love it!

I love her smile.

My object lesson

This was so funny.  Poor Elder Godoy was so afraid
that the balloon was going to pop in his face, he could
hardly blow it up.  We kept egging him on, probably
making him more nervous!

Practice sessions.
How we invite those we are teaching to read
the Book of Mormon?

Zone Leader Training

Elder Vaiufanua and Elder Flores did
an outstanding job with their presentation.
I was touched with their preparation and
delivery.  Their tender approach was so
genuine and each of us were able to reflect
on how the Savior sees us, and how earnestly
we must seek to be all we can be, not only
as servants of the Lord, but also in our lives.

First looking at our reflection.
What do we see?
Do we see what our Father in Heaven
sees in us?

Are we seeking to become more like our Savior?
How can we reflect the Savior in our

Sister's breakout session

Our next zone conference was in Colima with our
Colima and Guzman zones.
What a wonderful day we had together.

Ok, we had some visitors.

Our Sister Training Leaders
Sister Dominguez, Sister Ruiz,
