Baptisms!

Here we are again.  Welcome welcome to our newest members
of the Lord's church here on earth-
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
1.

Donají is an 11-year-old girl, she got to know the Church when

her mother, after a long time, came back.  She loved it and she

wanted to be baptized from the first time she attended. She

has a lot of faith and wishes to be a full-time missionary and

follow the example of the Savior.

Hermana Gálvez, Hermana Montiel

Donají es una niña de 11 años ella conoció la Iglesia cuando

su madre después de mucho tiempo regresó a la Iglesia y a
ella le encantó y quiso bautizarse desde la primera vez que 

asistió, ella tiene mucha fe y desea llegar a ser una misioner

a de tiempo completo y seguir el ejemplo del Salvador.

Brother Antonio was a reference, he was taught for some

time. Some adversities were presented, but he decided

to listen again to the missionaries, then he made the

decision to be baptized, despite the challenges. He

concluded this great step that has allowed him to

change his life. His goal is to continue persevering. He

knows that the gospel is good, and he wants to know

more about it to remain firm in his agreement.

Elder Mendez, Elder Rodriguez

]El hermano Antonio fue una referencia,

él se le enseño por algún tiempo, algunas adversidades se

presentaron, pero el decidió escuchar nuevamente a los

misioneros, tomo la decisión de bautizarse a pesar de los

desafíos el concluyo este gran paso que ha permitido

cambiar su vida su meta es seguir perseverando, sabe

que el evangelio es bueno y desea saber más sobre el

para seguir firme en su convenio.

Brother Sergio is an old investigator, but his day arrived, now

he is happy to have taken a baptism.Through trials, he kept

attending and decided to be baptized, now it's still coming to

the chapel and wants a place in the kingdom of God.

Elder Acosta, Elder Palenque 

Hermano Sergio es un antiguo investigador, pero llego su día,

ahora él está feliz de haber tomado un bautismo. A través de

pruebas, mantuvo asistiendo y decidió bautizarse. Ahora sigue

viniendo a la capilla y quiere un lugar en el reino de Dios.

Arcenio is a golden investigator and son-in-law of President Rafael

Betancourth. He is one of the chosen ones of our Heavenly Father.

Before his baptism he visited the temple and after that experience

he had, he said that one of his goals is to be sealed in the temple

with his wife. We know that he will be a good leader and an example

to follow for his family and the people around him.

Hermana Arcaya, Hermana Aguila

Arcenio es un investigador de oro y es el yerno de presidente

Rafael Betancourth. Él es uno de los escogidos de nuestro Padre

Celestial. Antes de su bautismo él visito el templo y después

de esa experiencia que tuvo al ir al templo él dijo que una de

sus metas es sellarse en el templo con su esposa sabemos

que el será un buen líder y un ejemplo para seguir para su

amilia y las personas que están a su alrededor.
5.

Alondra is a young woman who really wants to change her life.
She is 15 years old and her goal is to be able to serve the
mission full time because she was able to see with her family
the blessings they received thanks to the gospel. And she also
wishes to share it with other people. She wants to be an example
for her family and so her mom can be baptized. She has great
potential and we encourage her to move forward.

Alondra es una joven que realmente quiere cambiar su vida.

Ella tiene 15 años y su meta es poder servir la misión de

tiemplo completo porque ella pudo ver, junto con su familia,

las bendiciones que recibieron, gracias al evangelio. Ella desea

también compartirlo con las demás personas. Ella desea ser un

ejemplo para su familia y así también su mamá pueda bautizarse.  

Ella tiene un gran potencial y ánimo para seguir adelante.

Zone Conferences!

We began our zone conferences with the Union and Guzman Zones combined on 1-12-18.
We are jump.. jump.. jumping with excitement to begin this new year!!

Our next zone conferences were with the Lomas 

and Independencia Zones on 1-16-18

Manzanillo and Colima were next

1-19-18

And finally our zone conference with 

the Vallarta and Nayarit zones. 

We focused on:

       *The Doctrine of Christ 

     *Early Morning Studies

      *How to Begin Teaching

*Effective Planning

Union Stake Conference 1-21-18

What a lovely weekend we have had for the Union Stake Conference.  Both the Saturday and Sunday evening sessions were wonderful.  We sure love our Union Zone missionaries. Thank you to Elder Martindale for translating for me for both sessions.
Here we are Sunday afternoon. It was such a gorgeous day.. blue sky and perfect temperature... and look at the smiles on these outstanding missionaries! After all my reminding to not hold your Book of Mormon upside down.. looks like I got caught!! Oh well... :)

More baptisms!

1.

Sara was a contact in the street, though she had already known the

church as a child. At first, she showed a little fear when thinking about

baptism, but little by little she exercised faith to be able to take this big

step. Now she has a great testimony of the church. She was a miracle!

Elder Cluff, Elder Mora

Sara fue un contacto en la calle, ya había conocido la iglesia de niña.

Al principio, mostro un poco de miedo al pensar sobre el bautismo,

pero poco a poco ejerció la fe para poder tomar este gran paso. Ahora

ella tiene un gran testimonio de la iglesia. ¡Fue un milagro!

2.

Jose was introduced to the church by his friend Juan Nuñez. He began

investigating the church and began reading the Book of Mormon. By

the time we met him and began teaching him, he had been investigating

the church for 8 months, had read the entire Book of Mormon, knew
A LOT about church doctrine, and was desperate to be baptized. Jose´s
friend Juan has supported him and taught him most of what he knows
throughout his journey of learning the gospel. His testimony of the restored
gospel is very strong, and he was so excited to be baptized! 

We are so happy for him, and his faithfulness in changing his life to follow
all the commandments and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His testimony and
conviction will bless the lives of many others. 

Elder Rose, Elder Davis

José fue presentado a la iglesia por su amigo Juan Núñez. Él comenzó a
investigar la iglesia y comenzó a leer el Libro de Mormón. Cuando lo conocimos
y comenzamos a enseñarle, él había estado investigando la iglesia por 8 meses,
había leído todo el Libro de Mormón, sabía MUCHO sobre la doctrina de la
iglesia y estaba desesperado por ser bautizado. El amigo de José, Juan, lo ha
apoyado y le ha enseñado la mayor parte de lo que sabe a lo largo de su
jornada de aprendizaje del Evangelio. ¡Su testimonio del Evangelio restaurado
es muy fuerte y estaba tan emocionado de ser bautizado!

Estamos muy felices por él y su fidelidad al cambiar su vida para seguir
todos los mandamientos y el Evangelio de Jesucristo. Su testimonio y convicción
bendecirán las vidas de muchos otros.

After tribulation come the blessings. Julio and Gemma had
experiences that strengthened their faith, decided to change
and take the first step that is to marry on December 29 and be
baptized the next day. They have a firm testimony of the church
of Jesus Christ of God's influence in their lives.

Hermana Villanueva, Hermana Andrade

Después de tribulación vienen las bendiciones. Julio y Gemma

tuvieron experiencias que les fortaleció su fe, decidieron cambiar

y dar el primer paso que es casarse este 29 de diciembre y

bautizarse el siguiente día. Tienen un firme testimonio de la iglesia

de Jesucristo de la influencia poder de dios en sus vidas.

They are Cristian and Oscar Flores, they are young people truly
chosen and with great desires to serve God and will prepare to serve
in missions in the future. For now, they share the gospel with all those
around them because they have seen and obtained a conversion of
the restored gospel and they are a blessing for the work to be
accelerated in the branch of Tuxpan.

Elder Jimenez, Elder Garcia

Ellos son Cristian y Oscar flores son jóvenes realmente elegidos y

con grandes deseos de servir a Dios y se prepararán para servir en

misiones en un futuro por ahora ellos comparten del evangelio con

todos los que les rodean porque han visto y obtenido una conversión

del evangelio restaurado y son una bendición para que la obra se acelere

en la rama de Tuxpan.

Brother Aaron listened to the missionaries for about 3 years, but he

still did not want to take a baptism, it was not his time; One Sunday in

the Gospel Principle class we talked about eternal families, and because

he just had a baby, so when he heard that there is a way to live with

her forever he decided to go back to the lessons and at the end He

decided to take a baptism, and although it doesn’t look like it, he was

very happy! Now he begins his journey to eternal life with his family.

Hermana Rosado, Hermana Rojas

EL hermano Aarón escucho aproximadamente por 3 años a las misioneras,

pero aún no tenía el deseo de tomar de un bautismo, no era su tiempo;

un domingo en la clase de Principio del Evangelio se hablo acerca de las

familias eternas, y pues el acaba de tener una bebé, por lo tanto al escuchar

que hay una manera de vivir con ella para siempre decidió volver a retomar

las lecciones y al final decidió tomar de un bautismo, y aunque que no se vea,

él estuvo muy feliz! ahora el comienza su camino hacia la vida eterna junto

a su familia.

She is Albani, she is a very special young woman. Since we met her she
began to progress and to see changes in her own life. In each prayer
that she did she asked for the day of her baptism to arrive, she has
acquired a strong testimony of the restored gospel and she knows
without a doubt that it is true.

Hermana Hernandez, Hermana Landauro  

Ella es Albani, es una joven muy especial, desde que la conocimos ella

comenzó a progresar y a ver cambios en su propia vida, en cada oración

que hacía pedía que llegara el día de su bautismo, ella ha adquirido un

testimonio fuerte del evangelio restaurado y sabe sin ninguna duda que

es verdad.

And to start with the whole year, sister Fabiola decided to change

her life and follow the example of the Savior, despite many

challenges during the preparation of her baptism she remained

firm in her desire because she wants to be a good mother and

guide her children along the same path of happiness.

Elder Mejía, Elder Alonso 

Y para empezar con todo el año, la hna. Fabiola decidió cambiar su

vida y seguir el ejemplo del Salvador, a pesar de muchos desafíos

durante la preparación de su bautismo ella se mantuvo firme en su

deseo pues quiere ser una buena madre y guiar a sus hijos por el mismo

camino de felicidad.
8.

Brother Octavio, who is 15 years old, made the decision to follow
the Savior after realizing that in his life there was a void that he
still did not fill. He describes the Gospel as a way of life and even
though he is not old enough, yet he has the desire to be a full-time
missionary and be an example for his family.

Hermana Villanueva, Hermana Andrade  

Hno Octavio el tiene 15 años tomo la desicion de seguir al salvador

espués de darse cuenta que en su vida había un vació que aun no

llenaba el describe el Evangelio como una manera de vivir y aun que aun

no tiene la edad el tiene el deseo de ser un misionero de tiempo completo

y ser un ejemplo para su familia.

Brother Eduardo was a miracle. When the previous sisters met him,

he drank a lot, but he contacted them, he had the desire to change.

It took a long time for him to stop drinking completely, but after much

effort, he could stop drinking. It was not easy because he had many

challenges, since he lives alone and does not have any close family,

but despite everything, he tried hard and he set goals and even though

they fell, he did not take his eyes off the goal of being baptized. He put

his life in order, and for the week he was baptized he was a different man,

his vision is different now and so are his goals. He strives every day to

improve and not fall, but above all he wants to do what God wants him

to be, to receive the priesthood, to have a calling and to be self-sufficient

despite being 64 years old.

Hermana Haro, Hermana Lopez

El Hermano Eduardo fue un milagro. Cuando le conocieron las hermanas

anteriores, él tomaba mucho, pero él las contacto, él tenía el deseo de cambiar. 

Pasó mucho tiempo para que el pudiera dejar de beber completamente, pero

después de mucho esfuerzo, pudo dejar de beber.  No fue fácil porque tuvo

muchísimos desafíos, ya que él vive solo y no tiene a nadie de familia cerca,

pero a pesar de todo, él se esforzó y se fue poniendo metas y aunque caía, no

quitaba su mira de la meta de ser bautizado.  Puso en orden su vida, y para la

semana que se bautizó ya era un hombre diferente, su visión es distinta ahora y

también sus metas, se esfuerza cada día por poder mejorar y no caer, pero sobre

todo hacer lo que Dios desea que él sea, quiere recibir el sacerdocio, tener un

llamamiento y ser autosuficiente a pesar de tener 64 años.

The Zetina family is a clear example of how the Book of Mormon guides
our lives if we are obedient to its advice. Their path to conversion was
challenging due to their many problems, but we witnessed their faith
and their desire to follow their Salvador was bigger and they let Him do
miracles in their lives. They won addictions, the idea even divorce and
unemployment. They are a young couple but of great faith. Prayer became
their greatest source of wisdom and they obtained powerful answers from
the veracity of this work. We love them very much and hope that they fulfill
the greater goal which is to be sealed in the temple as an eternal family.

Hermana Rodriguez, Herman Crespin  

Los hermanos Zetina son un claro ejemplo de cómo el Libro de Mormón

guía nuestras vidas si somos obedientes a sus consejos , su camino hacia la

conversión fue desafiante debido a sus muchos problemas , pero fuimos

testigos de cómo su fe y su deseo de seguir a su Salvador fue más grande y

dejaron que él hiciera milagros en sus vidas , vencieron adicciones , la idea

aun divorcio y el desempleo , son una pareja joven pero de mucha fe, la

oración se convirtió en su  mayor fuente de sabiduría y obtuvieron poderosas

respuestas de la veracidad de esta obra, les amamos mucho y esperamos que

cumplan con la meta mayor que es sellarse en el templo para ser una
familia eterna.

Brother Lambert is a reference of a sister who was less active, he was
already just waiting to be visited, since from the first visit he committed
himself to ask in prayer if our message was true, by putting an accepted
baptismal date and he said: “I know this is what my life is missing, and
I want to do it.” He has a lot of courage and desire to be a faithful member.

Hermana Villanueva, Hermana Andrade

Hno Lamberto es referencia de una hna que era menos activa, el r

ealmente ya estaba solo esperando que le visitaran ya que desde la

primera visita él se comprometió a preguntar en oración si nuestro

mensaje era verdadero, al ponerle fecha bautismal acepto y dijo: “Sé

que esto es lo que le falta a mi vida y quiero hacerlo.” Él tiene mucho

ánimo y deseo de ser un miembro fiel.
