We had such a great day together... with beautiful and special music, funny skits, thoughtful gifts were shared, a delicious lunch and Christmassy dessert, and just a wonderful time together.
Here are some highlights of our day together.
We began by singing Christmas carols.
Thank you to sister Vega for playing the
piano so beautifully for us today.
Skits and musical numbers
The zones combined together to sing
Maybe I Will Be There
(Tal Vez Estare Alla)
We divided everyone into twelve small groups and had
them create a poster for their part of the song
The Twelve Days of Christmas
Drawing two turtle doves, or nine ladies dancing
or twelve drummers drumming...etc
Then, as we sang the song, each group held their sign
up high and sang out, loud and clear.. their part. It was fun!
Gift exchanges!
Changing hands again and again as a silly
story is read by the assistants leading everyone to
trade their gifts to the right or to the left!
President and I sang a family favorite...
Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat...
Please put a penny in the old man's hat.
If you haven't got a penny, a ha'penny will do.
If you haven't got a ha'penny, then
God bless you!
God bless you!
President Clayton read the Christmas story from Luke 2.
home again, home again...everyone left back to their areas!
Let's just have one more look at these fabulous missionaries!
Merry, Merry Christmas!
