Today was his 8th birthday, and he was also baptized! A very special day for him.
We traveled with Elder Stubbs and Elder Jimenez to Lagos de Moreno for his baptism. This branch is in the Queretero Mission and is the branch, (in a church building with a baptismal font) that they used to attend, and they have friends there. The Jimenez family live just outside of Jalostotitlan where they own and work a dairy farm. They live far out and far away from other members connecting them to a ward and branch, and it has been a worry and a trial for them as they desire to associate with other saints and be a part of a congregation. This was a special day.
As Jalostotitlan is in our mission boundaries, President Clayton presided and conducted the baptism today. Again, we were so happy to have attended, to support this sweet family. What a special day!
Elder Jimenez was so happy to have caught
Elder Stubbs taking a quick snooze on our way.
A few pictures before the baptism
The Jimenez family
With the Salas family who came to support
the Jimenez family from Arandas.
I love this picture of brother Jimenez
and Omar
I snuck this little pictures of these two
precious young girls who gave the talks on
faith...
and the talk on the Holy Ghost.
This sweet little girl read a scripture first
from her ipod with a mickey mouse ears cover.
Then she bore a tender and firm testimony
Brother and Sister Jimenez presented Omar with
a brand new Triple Combination scripture
and then a personalized journal book
These parents really made this day special and
their heartfelt feelings came through for
their first son to be baptized.
What an honor it was to be there
and share this day with them!
