What a beautiful drive we had Sunday morning
on our way to Santiago for our district conference.
Pretend the truck is not there, and look beyond it at
the gorgeous hills and valleys :)
We always are amazed at how many
folks can squish together into the back of a truck!
The trees here in Mexico are so gorgeous...
with huge trunks and sprawling branches.
At almost every tope or speed bump, there is
someone taking advantage of that slow pause...
and trying to sell something or other.
Some of the little selling stands along the way.

evening session.
We took a quick picture with these
sweethearts after the
Saturday evening adult session
of our District Conference.

Cute, cute Dylan Arais
(District President Arais’s little boy)
I always try to have a little
snack for his pocket... :)
Thank you to Elder Koenig for
translating for me.
With our good friend, Dan Lewis who was
visiting us with his wife Betty.
President Arias and his first counselor,
his grandfather.
With our fabulous missionaries serving
in Santiago !
Driving in and around Santiago
I always love seeing the wash on the line.
This grandma and her granddaughter
riding in the back of the truck.
Do you see the family on the motorcycle
whizzing by?
Look at this beautiful overpass
as we drove right into the city
to our hotel for the night.
We were able to visit with and see some
of the apartments of some of our
missionaries serving here in Santiago.
First we popped in to see
Sister Torres and Sister Hernandez. :)

Next, we wanted to pop in to see
Elder Barlow and Elder Astorga,
but they were still cleaning up
the building after the conference.
We followed them over to their
apartment
Here they are standing up
on their balcony.
And by their area map
Wonderful day!
