Mission Council

February Mission Council
We had a wonderful mission council this week.
Our theme was We invite. They commit. We follow up.
We had a spiritually rich and uplifting day together.

Just a few pictures of our preach my gospel mastery game

*my final remarks-
This is the work of the Lord, and Satan knows it.
He does not want Gods message to go forward.
He would love to ruin those who are proclaiming it.

We promise you that if you heed our counsel,
If you will be completely obedient, you will be protected.

As you study and learn the doctrine of Christ,
As you envelope yourself in the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ,
As you wrap yourself in the sweetness of this message,
If you will consecrate yourself completely in this work of the Lord,
The Lord will protect you and shield you and keep you spiritually safe.

That's a big promise. Do you have faith to put us to the test?
Can you see that immersing yourself in this work will bless you and keep you protected in a miraculous way?
D&C 88: 78. Teach ye diligently and my grace shall attend you.

And what is grace??? It is the enabling power to resist temptation.

Elder Bednar has taught that “grace is divine means of help or strength, given through the bounteous mercy and love of Jesus Christ.

*The assistants focused on-
-making a direct invitation
-teaching the principle clearly
-testifying of the specific blessings that come as we obey
example and practice -The Word of Wisdom

*President’s closing remarks
-Oath - a promise, a solemn covenant between God and man.  God’s promised blessings are sure.  He cannot, He will not break His promise.
- meeting the little family in Acuponeta where the dad told us, I want to be a better man.  I want to stop drinking.  Can  you teach me how?
-If we want something bad enough, we will do it.
-Although we focus on what our investigators want and need.  We teach them, but we will not change them.  They must choose to act and do for themselves.
- true for missionaries as well.  If you want to be faithful and good, if you want to be honorable,
 you will be.
-Oath and covenant of the priesthood 84:33
- “Nothing will surprise us more than when we get to heaven and see the Father and realize how well we know Him and how familiar His face is to us.” Ezra Taft Benson
