Baptisms

Here are some of the baptisms from our last week.

1.

Brother José knew of the church through his girlfriend, who is a future missionary from the Nuevo Mexico ward. José obtained his testimony through the lessons, by the power of reading the Book of Mormon, and by the support of his girlfriend’s family. He knows that the Savior will return to the earth, he knows that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is fundamental in God´s plan. He thinks that missionary work is a work of love, he says that maybe one day he would like to serve a mission.
Hermana Chiclin, Hermana Ramos

2.

Baptism of Brother Gregorio.
Brother Gregorio is the result of a effective contact, he is a missionary miracle. We gave him a Book of Mormon in the first contact and every day he read from it. Through his trials brother Gregorio showed his faith by accepting to be baptized. He commented that he didn’t believe that he could receive forgiveness for his sins, but he felt a peace as he was submerged in the water. Now he wants to continue forward every day of his life so that he can enter the Temple.

3.

We ran into Florencio when we were searching with the ward lists. Florencio was very prepared by the Lord to receive the Gospel. When we found him, he said that he wanted to change his life and become closer to our Heavenly Father. He loves the church a lot because he always feels the spirit and lots of peace. He told us that he is ready to endure to the end! We are very happy for him and for the changes he made in his life
Elder Custodio y Elder Stubbs

4.

Martín, a real convert to the Gospel. After 3 years of receiving the missionaries in his house and having a son serve a mission, he decided to be baptized. He was touched by the spirit by asking for wisdom from God, like James 1:5 teaches. After a long time, he learned that his answer and the key to what he should do, was to pray. He is ready to endure to the end.

5.

Valeria, is a Young Woman that without doubt understood the plan of salvation. Her father passed away in December of last year, and this crushed her. When we talked about the Plan of Salvation with her, she understood that the only way to have an eternal family was if she lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and made the decision to be baptized. Now she is a pillar in her home to help her family endure to the end.

6.

This is Mireya, she has wanted to be baptized for some time, but for one reason or another, there were always setbacks that prevented her. During a lesson with her, her friend, sister Lolita Pelayo, helped her realize that the only thing she didn’t have to be baptized was determination. Later in her Baptism she testified with power of the truthfulness of the church, and the Book of Mormon. Without a doubt, she found conversion for her and her family.

7.

Adam is the grandson of a member here in Ameca. He lives in the United States of America, so that his grandpa could baptize him he received all the lessons in the States and then came to Mexico to have the experience! It was very good, he is very happy that his grandpa baptized him and is very excited to be strong in the faith for his whole life!
Elder Jones y Elder Mickelson

8.

Her mother (Mayra) had been less active for almost two years. When we visited, we could see that she had a lot of personal problems, but she wanted to continue forward. Little by little the Gospel was helping her and one day she wanted her daughter Luna to also know. Luna accepted very quickly and her progress was awesome. Her baptism was the fruit of the fidelity and the diligence of her mother, now the whole family is very excited to continue enduring in the church!
