Nayarit Zone Conference 5-6-17

Our first zone conference was with the Nayarit Zone!

We took two pictures so the two Elders taking the
pictures, could have a turn being in the picture...
(does that make sense??)

Can you tell which Elders switched places?

Outside the church building gates...
just an everyday scene here in Mexico.

Opening song - Called To Serve (sung in English)

President Clayton's object lesson

President called Elder Manua to come up and asked him if he
had faith in him??    He answered yes
President Clayton blindfolded him and asked him to turn
around to prepare to fall into his arms.
President then asked 4 Elders to quietly come up,
without Elder Manua hearing them...
and help him catch Elder Manua as he fell
down into what he thought, would be just
President Clayton's arms

Would he be willing to fall and let President
Clayton catch him?

He sure did.
President assured a safe catch
by asking those additional Elders to
come and help.

His faith did not falter :)

What has God put in place to help us know
his will, and help us safely stay on course?

My teaching -
The Role of the Holy Ghost in the Conversion Process
We discussed
1. When and how true conversion is manifested
2. The characteristics and nature of the Holy Ghost as
- comforter
3. the critical importance of our worthiness and obedience
in seeking to have the Holy Ghost to accompany us.

*** please note, for specific details about what President Clayton
and I taught, please see our May Mission Council blog post.

We have asked every missionary to be prepared with
three, three minute talks, and to have them ready
and in their back pockets at all times.
Prepared talks on
1. Baptism
2. The Holy Ghost
3. The Savior

Hoy es el dia!
Today was the day we began to hear one or
two of those prepared talks.

President called up Elder Mejia and Elder Crismon.
They were both prepared and did a wonderful job.

Our Sister Training Leaders Sister Garduno and Sister Vega's
teachings. They did an outstanding job teaching about
personal and companion studies.

I loved their white board illustrations :)

Elder Ramirez and Elder Medina did
a wonderful job teaching about inviting our investigators to church,
inviting them to keep commitments, inviting them to make changes
in their lives... we must become expert in Inviting!

*4 key indicators

Our sister's breakout session

Taking the assistants and Elder Manua and Elder Crismon
to Tepic with us to meet up with Elder Mejia and
Elder Hudson for the evening.

We did not make it in time for Elder Mejia and Elder Hudson's
baptism, but we caught a quick picture of them
through the window teaching the Restoration lesson.

Great day!
